Great colour starts with a conversation. New guests at Fluff begin with a 30-minute Hair Strategy Session — a dedicated consultation where your colourist assesses your hair’s current condition, hears your vision, and maps a personalized colour plan.
Whether you’re after sun-kissed balayage, a seamless root melt, or a complete colour transformation, this session means we understand your hair before we touch it. You’ll leave with a clear plan, transparent pricing, and a scheduled appointment.

What to Expect in the Chair
Consultation Recap & Colour Design
Your colourist will revisit your goals, assess your hair in natural light, and finalize the formula. We use Alter Ego Italy professional colour and select the formula around your hair and goals.
The Colour Experience
Settle in with a complimentary beverage — champagne, espresso, or tea — while your colourist works. Check the service you select for its treatment, toner, and styling inclusions.
Timing & Planning
Colour services typically run 2 to 4.5 hours depending on technique. Your colourist will walk you through your maintenance plan, recommended products, and when to schedule your next appointment, so your colour stays vibrant between visits.

You’ll see a full cost breakdown before any colour is mixed. No hidden fees, no surprises — just clarity and confidence. Pricing reflects the time, technique, and craftsmanship your hair requires.

We’re located at 1520 Wazee Street in the heart of LoDo, steps from Union Station. Street parking and nearby garages are available — the closest is the Wynkoop Street Garage.

Please review the cancellation and rescheduling terms shown when booking your appointment. Contact the salon if your plans change.
What to Bring
Arrive with clean, dry hair — no products if possible. Bring photos of colours you love (and ones you don’t). Wearing a button-down or zip-up top makes the process more comfortable.

Investment Guide
Service Investment
New guests: final pricing is set during your Hair Strategy Session. Your colourist evaluates your hair’s history, the technique your goal requires, and the time involved. As a guideline, here’s starting investment for the most-requested services.
Add-on treatments, toners, and styling are priced separately and always discussed before any work begins. Colour corrections and complex transformations are quoted individually in consultation.

We strongly recommend new guests start with a Hair Strategy Session so your colourist can assess your hair and build a customized plan. However, if you already know the service you’d like, you can book directly from our service menu.
Balayage is custom-quoted in your Hair Strategy Session, based on your hair’s length, density, and the result you want. The full service menu and starting investment lives on our pricing page.
We use Alter Ego Italy professional colour. Formula ingredients vary by product; speak with your artist about any ingredient concerns or previous reactions before your appointment.
Most colour services take between 2 and 4.5 hours depending on the technique. Balayage and dimensional colour tend to be on the longer side, while toner refreshes and root touch-ups are faster. Your colourist will give you a time estimate during your consultation.

Yes. Our Colour Salon and Extensions Studio specialize in different areas, but our team coordinates colour and extensions seamlessly. We often recommend colour work before extension installation for the best colour match and result.
A Hair Strategy Session costs $25. If you decide to move forward with a hair service, the $25 you paid for your session will be applied toward your hair service appointment.
For colour corrections, vivid colour, big lift sessions, and any major before-and-after, please book a Hair Strategy Session first. We’ll assess your hair’s history and condition, plan the result safely, and quote the work transparently before booking the service appointment. We recommend this path for any new guests considering a major change.
