Colour matching starts during your colour appointment, not after it. While your balayage is processing, your colourist swatches the mid-lengths and ends, notes the root depth, and maps where your dimension actually lives. That map decides everything: the base level of the wefts we order, how much warmth needs neutralising, and whether your set needs a shadowed root to disappear against your grow-out.
Wefts get toned, rooted, and glossed before installation
We order wefts a touch lighter than your target, because you can always deepen premium hair but you cannot lift it without damage. Then the set goes to the colour bench: a custom toner to land the tone, a hand-painted root smudge to echo your natural depth, and a gloss to match the finish of your own hair. The same colourist finishes both
The colourist who painted your balayage is the one toning your wefts. That continuity is the quiet reason Fluff matches hold up in daylight, in photographs, and at the regrowth stage where most extension colour falls apart. A separate extensions tech working from a photo cannot replicate a formula they never mixed.
