Demarcation Blending
For clients who still colour but are tired of the panic at four-week regrowth. Hand-placed lowlights through the demarcation line break up the band of incoming silver so your next stretch buys you weeks of grace, not a hat.
This is the gateway service — most Grey Blending clients start here while they decide whether to fully grow out. We design the blend so you can keep your colour, stop your colour, or change your mind in either direction without a hard reset.
Going Fully Grey
For clients ready to retire box dye and let the silvers come in. Strategic lowlights placed through the natural grey create dimension so the transition reads intentional, not neglected. The lowlights fade gracefully as your natural grows in, so you’re not chasing colour appointments through the in-between.
This is the Grey Blending path for clients who want the goal to be grey, not blonde-pretending-to-be-grey. Honest colour, honest grow-out.
Salt and Pepper Maintenance
For clients who are already silver and want to refine what’s there: soften brassiness, brighten the silvers, add discreet dimension without colouring the grey away. A toning gloss and a few placed lowlights are usually all it takes.
This is the Grey Blending service for the client who’s done with the question and ready to make their silver hair look intentional and expensive.
How we design grey blending appointments.
01 — Mapping
Your colourist looks at where your silvers are concentrated, how fast they’re coming in, and where you want them to read first. Front pieces, crown, temples — every head greys differently and the placement has to follow.
02 — Strategic Lowlight Placement
Two to three carefully chosen levels darker than your natural, placed through the silvers in pieces — not panels. The goal is dimension, not coverage. You should still see your grey.
03 — Toning + Glossing
A custom gloss tones the silvers, neutralises any yellow or brass, and gives the whole head a soft, expensive finish. This is what makes Grey Blending clients leave looking like the version of themselves they wanted to see.

What’s the difference between grey blending and traditional colour?
Traditional colour covers your greys. Grey blending works with them — placing carefully chosen lowlights through the silver to create dimension while letting your natural grey stay visible. It’s a softer commitment and a much gentler grow-out.
How long does a Grey Blending appointment take?
Timing depends on your hair length, density, colour history and the work needed. Your Hair Strategy Session helps us plan the service and explain the expected appointment length before you book your colour.
How often do I need to come back?
Your maintenance plan depends on your starting colour, the contrast you want and how your hair grows. We discuss colour refreshes and home care during your appointment; some transitions need several visits.
Will grey blending cover my greys?
No — and that’s the point. If you want full grey coverage, we’d recommend a permanent colour service instead. Our colour services page walks through the options. Grey blending is for clients who want their silver to show, just designed.
